		It's important that you feel confident and relaxed with your chosen Marriage Celebrant so it's a good idea to meet with him or her before making any big decisions. When I say confident I mean that you must be sure that your Marriage Celebrant has the experience and expertise to ensure your wedding goes off without a hitch and above all, make sure that they are legally authorised to perform your ceremony in terms of the Marriage Act! Your Celebrant must be prepared carry out a Wedding Rehearsal if you want one, he/she must be a confident and interesting public speaker, meet with the moment of the occasion, be reliable and on time, offer the use of a Public Address System (if required) and be prepared to help with the design process of your Ceremony wording. In a nutshell - look for a Professional, Ethical, Friendly and Competent Marriage Celebrant who ENJOYS performing Marriage Ceremonies.

About Me... Having sold our businesses, my wife (Pam) and I decided to move away from "Big Smoke" and semi-retire in the beautiful area of Port Macquarie, where we have successfully negotiated a beautiful 7 acre property near Lake Cathie - about 10km South of the City. Our children are all grown and have left the nest, so we spend our time attending to the things we love most of all - Weddings, gardening, fishing and performing charity work, plus we are the foremost breeders of Pedigree Chihuahua Puppies in Australia. Some of my achievements have included: Advanced studies in Business, Law and Property, Lecturing, Past President of Several Professional Associations and Institutes, Recipient of the Lions Club International Presidents Award, Member of APEX, Founder of the Lions Charity OP Shop and selection to several State and National Sporting Teams. I emigrated to Australia in 2000 and am now proudly a Full Australian Citizen. I am authorised by the Attorney General to perform Marriage Ceremonies throughout Australia, in terms of the Marriage Act 1961. My Marriage Celebrant authorisation number is A7007. Since my appointment I have performed hundreds of Marriage Ceremonies - and have loved every one of them!
